SPRING FEVER

Caught these deer by the mailbox at Badger Drive smooching in the woods.

CSCD MEETING

The first regular meeting of the Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy Board of Directors was held on February 19th. New members on the board are Jim Ray and Catherine Byers. Other new faces included the Rod Blasdel who is the new Conservancy Manager as of January 1st. The entire meeting had a very professional air about it! Numerous major topics included Cordry Dredging, New Conservancy Maintenance/Office Building, New Boat Launch Ramps, Fish Habitat Installation, and more.

WILDLIFE

Imagine my surprise this morning as I drove by the Chuck Robinson property on Sweetwater Drive and saw three horses grazing in the yard!

EAST LAKE FULL!

East Lake in Prince's Lakes is within a few inches of going over the spillway. East Lake has been lowered since the flood of 2008. Residents were forced to install a huge new spillway system by the DNR. They obtained grants so the cost to lot owners was minimal. Residents of East Lake and their families will be looking forward to using the lake in the summer of 2013.

COOTS

I've noticed a flock of approximately 30 Coots camping out in the waters near Sweetwater Dam. A few Mallards and a Canadian Goose or two also a part of the party!
