NEW FISHING RULES

At the April 15h, 2014 Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy Board Meeting, new fishing regulations were read and passed by the board. A limit of 25 bluegill and/or sunfish per person is now the rule. Historically, there were several fishermen who were coming in and filling up their coolers with up to 300 fish per visit! The depletion of small feeder fish is potentially affecting the size and number of larger fish in the lakes. In other business, 6 members were added to the security commission, updates on the new and old office buildings, and numerous building permits were OK'd by the board.

HIGH WATER!

Approximately 5 inches of rain fell in slightly more than a 24 hour period beginning on April 3rd, 2014. Both lakes above regular pool level. Sweetwater Always seems to flood at higher levels....I believe because the spillway outlets are the same size for different sized lakes. Didn't we just have snow last week! Pictured are the docks at Sweetwater Launch Ramp.
