The Brown County Parks Rec Department sponsored a cardboard boat raced today at Sweetwater Beach.  Awards were given for "most creative, team effort, titanic award, and overall winner."  The Red Baron sunk immediately and won the titanic award!  Other entrees included the space shuttle, swan dive, ss webb, the drill, and others.  Perfect weather and a supportive crowd made for a successful event.  Pictured is "the drill" that barely made it back to the beach before sinking!

The weather for mid September has been outstanding.  The water temperature as of today  (9/19) is 80 degrees and calm.  Lots of pontooners out and best of all numerous water skiers taking advantage of the calm warm waters.
