TRASH DAY MAY 9TH
Along with spring comes the realization that the accumulation of trash along the roadside gives the entrance to our community a "black eye." A Community Day Trash Pick Up will occur on May 9th along Nineveh Road. Volunteers will meet at the CSLOA Clubhouse at 8:00 AM to work Nineveh Road. The Conservancy Security Force will provide protection for the volunteers working the project. Bring a trash bag and rubber gloves and help!
MARTINS RETURN
Another good sign that spring has arrived is the return of the Martins. The Martins have returned to this Martin house located near the Sweetwater gas pump dock.
TURTLE COVE
A sure sign of spring is this photo of the resident turtles on the north end of Sweetwater Lake commonly known as "turtle cove."

DAFFODIL WINNER
Thank goodness that winter is behind us and spring flower are blooming. Daffodils are blooming everywhere but the winner has to be this entire hillside located on Duck Drive on Sweetwater Lake. The flowers were planted by a previous owner now deceased but her work and love of flowers continues.
LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS
Pictured are the volunteers who man our local library. Thanks to all who do volunteer in our community....we need more! Our little local library is a "branch" of the county unit located in Nashville. It does offer internet Wi-Fi in addition to the normal library offerings. I'm sure there will be a summer reading program for children.

EASTER EGG HUNT
The Cordry Sweetwater Fire Department sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th, 2015 at the park behind the fire station. Pictured is Doug Green of Sweetwater Plumbing and daughter returning from the "egg field" with lots of Easter Eggs.
PURPLE POLES
What's the purpose of the purple poles that are appearing around the Conservancy? The water department is replacing the aged yellow 4x4 poles with new markers. The old yellow poles have been in the ground for several decades and some were rotten and falling down. These poles mark important water "turn-off" valves in the water system.
