TREE DOWN
A huge oak tree simply crashed this past week closing Sweetwater Drive near Hummingbird Drive. No big wind, no storm, no lightning....just fell over! Rotten hollow interior finally couldn't support the upper structure of the tree. Thanks to conservancy workers and Utility company for clearing the road.

WARM OCTOBER WEEKEND
The calendar may read October 9th and 10th but the weather say "summer!" Temperatures in the 80's brought out the cruisers, skiers, and swimmers! My neighbor, Kathy, across the way donned her swimsuit and went paddleboating!

FALL COLORS
The daylight hours are getting shorter and the water temperature is going down! (72 degrees) I'm hoping that last week's 6 inch rain will feed the trees and give us good color this fall. We're already starting to see a few trees starting to turn. Here's hoping for a colorful autumn.
