MARCH WATER SKI

After painting in the sun and realizing there were better things to do on this beautiful March day,  I talked my neighbor friend into pulling me around Sweetwater Lake on skis.

BEAUTIFUL MARCH DAY

It was in the 20's overnight but the day developed into one of the most beautiful days of 2019.  These fishermen took advantage of the windless day for glassy smooth water on Cordry Lake.

NEW HOMES

Several new  are under construction and hopefully completed by this coming summer.  This home replaces an existing home on Eagle Drive on Sweetwater Lake.

LEAF MACHINE

Recently saw local property owner Nick Johann operating his leaf removal machine.  Quite an efficient monster!  Call Nick for leaf removal at 812-360-8046.

WINTER RETURNS!

The beginning of March brings thoughts of warmer weather and daffodils popping up!  The temperature on Monday sent new all time lows for March 4th and minus 2 degrees!  The coves and portions of both main bodies are ice covered today!   Winter has returned!   I hope briefly!

FEBRUARY SKI

My goal for many years is to water ski every month of the year here in Indiana.  I missed in 2018 due to lousy weather and traveling in March!  So far this year I skied on New Years Day in St Louis on the Mississippi River at a fund raising event.  Then skied here at home the second week in January during a warm spell.  Skied this past week on February 27 for a brief pass across the dam.  Had to dodge a couple of sheets of ice!  This first week of March looks doubtful as snow and severe cold weather is forecast.

MIGRATORY GUESTS

Three guests at the north end of Sweetwater stopped in on their way north.  Sure sign of Spring around the corner?
