It was a beautiful day at the lake! A handsome crowd gathered for dedication of the Bob Wright Pavilion. Bob and wife Anita have always been community minded. Bob has served on various committees and local boards through the years. He was instrumental with the development of Center Lake Park and other projects around the Conservancy. Bob passed last fall and will be missed by all.
Hard to believe we had snow flurries last night that disappointed everyone. This morning the county was beautiful with the wet snow sticking to everything.
As so many towns and areas are doing, the Conservancy recently purchased a new police "truck." The truck has numerous advantages over the normal SUVs. The truck has room in back for equipment like chain saws and other normal equipment we need/use in our country area.
The recent warm weather and plenty of rain this past weekend made the Redbuds pop! They are beautiful.
I was digging and planting in the yard this week and dug up a live Cicada only about 4 inches deep. News reports that the Cicada (17 year locusts) are coming this season.
Several loons have been spotted on both lakes in the past few days. Too bad that they don't stay longer.
