NEW BOATING RULES

Thank goodness for the professional attitude of the members of the security commission! The agenda of their monthly meeting held last night was to "refine and simplify" the draft of the new boating and fishing rules. Many changes were made to the satisfaction of all who attended. One example of change was to not register paddle boards but they did suggest that paddleboards ought to have lot numbers. Another example was to change "spotter" requirements from age 16 to "competent person." Another suggested change was to require only 1 anchor instead of 2. I think boaters, fisher persons, swimmers, and all will be pleased with the suggested changes. Do be aware that there will be public exposure to the new rule book prior to the CSCD Board acceptance of the new rule book. Thank you security commission!
