BROWN COUNTY PARK

It was just announced that Brown County State Park was put on the register of  National Historic Sites.  The park is the largest park in Indiana with 16,000 acres.  Prior to being put on the registry, Contracts were let for 2 sections of original steps and retaining walls were let.   These steps and wall were part of original work done by the WPA in the 1930's.   This project is a million dollar project.  Also being completed is a walkway and 2 steel frame bridges between the park and the town of Nashville.  Pedestrians will be able to walk from Nashville to the  Park.
