A good portion of tonight's Conservancy Board Meeting was devoted to the threat of Zebra Muscles in our lakes. Ted Adolay (board member) gave a talk about the zebra muscle threat, the enablers, and the possible tactics to insure our lakes stay clear or this invasive species. A special board meeting and ecology commission meetings are scheduled for next week aimed at coming up with some rules and regulations concerning boats that come in and out at the launch ramps. Several northern Indiana lakes and northern Indianapolis lakes are already infested with these muscles.
