There's been lots of talk about the coming total eclipse on April 8th, 2024. Neighboring communities are planning events over the entire weekend of April 6th-8th. Area hotels are all booked. Parking in school parking lots is up for dibs. Everyone is being warned/cautioned about the influx of people and traffic issues. The local law enforcement are taxed and admit the projected crowds are overwhelming! Our area does not have any planned activities but.....locals are getting their boats launched and ready for the afternoon event. Even the lakes may be crowded! Lets hope for a clear sky on April 8th!
