At last week's CSCD meeting, the board agreed to spend a budgeted $18,000 toward park improvements. The Cordry Sweetwater Lot Owners paid a professional to draw up a "master plan" for the area located by the fire department. There is a walking track and shelter house at that site presently. Future plans for future years include relocating the basketball and baseball area, horseshoe courts, and other items. Now that a master plan is in place, gifts, grants, and other sources of philanthropy can be targeted for this project.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Cordry Sweetwater Lot Owner's Association's (CSLOA) newsletter that is on its way. The annual OX ROAST is on a Saturday, September 3rd. The letter says Sunday by error. Otherwise its a great publication with the new membership forms and other news inside.

Kids Fishing Tournament will be Saturday, July 23rd at the launching ramp areas of both Cordry and Sweetwater Lakes. Appear by 9:00 AM and participate until 12:00 noon. This Tournament sponsored by the local Angler's Club.

The Cordry Sweetwater Lot Owner's Association (CSLOA) has been promoting several "social hour" (meet your neighbors) events this summer. They have been very well attended and enjoyed by all. The next scheduled event is Thursday, July 28th beginning at 5:30 PM in the clubhouse. (bring an appetizer and drink of your choice)
It is not necessary to stay for the CSLOA meeting but.......the board is in the planning stages for the annual OX Roast and they need volunteers. Just a few hours on that Saturday means so much to the success of the event. I need a couple of "drivers" for an hour or two each to drive the's a fun job.

The annual CSLOA fireworks display took place on July 9th. Perfect weather and clear skies made the evening perfect. Live bands and an evening DJ added to the enjoyment of all. The fireworks were paid for and sponsored by the Cordry Sweetwater Lot Owners Association. ($4,000!)
