NEW SWEETWATER SAFETY BOAT

Looks like the new Sweetwater Lake Safety boat has arrived and is in the lift for use.  It appears to be similar to the previous unit with inflatable tubes and a 115 hp Suzuki outboard motor.

DEER REDUCTION PROJECT

ACORN BOMBS

Seems like every other year is an "acorn year."  The oak trees are loaded this fall the acorn bombs have been falling.  If you have a hickory tree, watch out.  I'm aware of dented autos from the hickory nuts.

SOGGY!

With all the constant rain from Hurricane Gordon, you would think the lakes would be flooding.  The lakes are up but not alarmingly so.  Usually the north end of Sweetwater gets a muddy appearance with so much rain but this was also not the case.  I think the rain was gentle enough not cause erosion and the time if the year with so much green vegetation helped prevent the muddy appearance.

OX ROAST WRAP UP

The annual Cordry Sweetwater Lot Owners Ox Roast is now in the history books.  This event was promoted and organized in the most professional manner ever.  The Silent Auction Tent had an super amount of articles donated by businesses, artists,  and local residents.  The venders displayed a wide range of wares to sell or display.  A mid afternoon downpour interrupted the event briefly but sunshine returned for the finale.  Thanks to all who volunteered in any way.
