DOWN SHE COMES!

The old CSCD Maintenance building came down today, June 26th, 2013. This will make room for the new maintenance/office building soon to be started.

CORDRY LAKE KAYAK POKER RUN

Approximately 20 "paddlers" participated in the first Cordry Lake Kayak Poker run. Mostly kayaks, some canoes, and a paddle board made up the "fleet" of crafts. Beverly Dougherty of Nettle Drive won the adult $100 bill and boat patrol Sandra Taylor's grandson won the under 21 $100 bill.

JIM ADAMS

Local Barber Jim Adams passed away on June 13th, 2013. Jim was an "original" in the lakes areas living here as a youngster. Jim was a town board member at Prince's Lakes. A memorial service is planned for Friday, June 21st at 2:00 PM at the Prince's Lakes Town Hall.

CORDRY LAKE KAYAK POKER RUN

Kayak Poker Run - Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 - 2:00 PM Adult Run: Ages 21 and over. Participants will paddle to 5 different designated docks marked with large signs (#1..#2..#3...etc.) At each dock, they will pick up a playing card and save all cards until the end of the run. At the end of the run, the paddlers will play/submit their cards to the event judges. The paddler with the best poker hand wins the $100 prize supplied by Sweetwater Realty. Junior Run: Ages under 21. Participants will paddle to the 5 different designated docks marked with large signs. (#1...#2....#3...etc.) At each dock, they will pick up an "UNO" playing card and save all cards until the end of the run. At the end of the run, the paddlers will play/submit their cards to the event judges. The paddler with the highest total of "UNO" cards will win the $100 prize supplied by Sweetwater Realty. The event is open too all paddle powered craft. (kayak, canoe, paddleboat, paddleboard, rowboat, etc.) All should be craft be equipped with life preservers. The event will begin at lot #AA-52 and continue to different docks located in the idle zone area on the northeast area of Cordry Lake.
