PHANTOM PONTOON

Crossing Cordry Dam this morning admiring the snowy wonderland.....saw this "phantom pontoon" drifting in the northeast section of Cordry Lake.

SURPRISE SNOW

First full day of Spring.....7-8 inches of wet snow...Brown County Schools Closed, I-70 East Closed, Cars in the ditch, Trees down, Re-install snow plows.....All gone and dry roads by afternoon! Winter .....oops.....Spring Wonderland - beautiful

SPRING

Official SPRING arrives tomorrow March 20th. The forecast is freezing rain and possible snow the next day! Spring can't be far away as the area turkey vultures have returned.

BOOK VOLUME #2

Cordry Sweetwater Lakes "A Beginning" Volume #2 is now back from the printers. Several chapters include information about the Howard Prince Building, early homes, Pioneers, the fireworks history and more. Copies can be purchased at Sweetwater Realty and the Conservancy office for $5.00 per copy. Funds collected pay for printing costs.....any excess funds will be contributed to the fireworks show.

SNOW!

I recently returned from out West thinking I would see flowers blooming and grass greening up! Wrong! A slick layer of snow appeared early this morning making Sweetwater Trail on the way to Nashville very slick in spots.
