NASHVILLE GHOST TOWN

Had to go the grocery store in Nashville today.  The store was well stocked.  The town of Nashville was a ghost town!  State Road #135 through Nashville was abandoned.

THE BEST IN PEOPLE!

The current Coronavirus is bringing out the best in people.  Walkers and friendly hellos at a distance, dog walkers, players at the basketball courts.  Pictured is Judy and Dale Onken picking up trash on the Cordry Dam shoreline for exercise.

OUR GREAT CSCD STAFF

Both Joshes out checking the culverts and valleys for water damage around the Conservancy after last night's storm.  Rescuing boats is not outside of their job descriptions!

OVER THE DOCKS!

Last night's 2:00 AM storm dumped tons of rain on the area.  Lots of water crossings on the road and both lakes are up and over some docks.

LAKE CLARITY RESULTS IN

Once again, Cordry and Sweetwater Lakes are among the clearest in the state.  Of 73 lakes that participate in the Indiana Clean Lakes Program sponsored by the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Cordry and Sweetwater score #2 and #3.  (The #1 lake is Lake Clearwater, an old gravel pit located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis.  This little lake has scored #1 for the past few years.)  Quinn Hetherington does the tests on Cordry and I do the tests on Sweetwater.  (Nitrogen, Chlorophyll/Phosphorus content is also tested)  A printed copy is available at Sweetwater Realty.  On line results are at www.indianalakes.org.

THE LITTLE LOG CABIN

The little log cabin that has sat unattended for years on the end of Muskrat Drive on Sweetwater Lake
has a new owner.  The entire point property recently sold.  For years a wire buzzard and bench sat at the point of the property.  Best wishes to the new owner.

NO WINTER!

As evidence of no or little winter, the left over inventory of show shovels at the local Nashville hardware store is proof!
