CELL PHONE TOWER UPDATE


On January 22, 2010, State Senator Vi Simpson wrote: "On January 14th, I introduced an amendment on the floor of the Indiana Senate which would grant conservancy districts the authority to enter into leases with persons providing cell phone services, including leases of real property owned by the district. this amendment passed and is now included in Senate Bill 110."

Senate Bill 110 passed the Indiana Senate by a vote of 50 - 0 on Tuesday, January 19th. It has been forwarded to the Indiana House of Representatives for their consideration.
