SPRING DUCKS

Another new variety of ducks appeared today. The previous guests were a red-headed variety that were identified as coming from the East Coast due to bad weather. The newest guests are black with white markings for the males and subdued markings for the females. My duck expert tells me that they are Hooded Mergansers. Also heard Sand Hill Cranes migrating overhead today. Spring can't be far away.
